Named for original settler, John G. Clark, Clarksburg Maryland is located in Montgomery County along the vibrant I-270 corridor. Designated as a growth area for the County, Clarksburg has seen its population grow from 1,834 people in 2,000 to over 5,000 people today. Population growth is expected to continue, and with an average HHI of $82,187 Clarksburg is a community of affluent and educated residents.
Situated on the edge of the County Agricultural Reserve, Clarksburg maintains its historic and rural roots while offering its residents a well-planned and vibrant blueprint for future growth and development. With three master-planned communities, new elementary, middle and secondary schools, and an historic district that holds a distinct place in the County’s past, Clarksburg has much to offer the businesses that locate here.
